OBJECTIVE:

By the end of the course, the participants will have

• Have a thorough understanding about the governance structures within the development sector landscape
• Gain understanding on various mechanisms and processes that facilitate effective governance and decision-making
• Develop understanding on roles and responsibilities of governance and management functions within the organisation
• Be capacitated and supported to develop and implement sound Governance Framework within the organisation

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

The course caters to a wide spectrum of audience of development practitioners and will be open to any person working in development organizations who desire to have an in-depth knowledge on governance and compliance related aspects. Specifically, it would be very useful for those participants who are involved in the governance and management of organization. Therefore, the course is intended for Chief Functionary, Board members, and senior staff members.

COMPOSITION OF THE COURSE

There are a total of 3 modules divided into 10 Chapters that would be covered during the course:-

• Essential Concepts in NPO Governance 
• Comprehensive insight into Board roles and practices
• Building a Governance Framework 

LEARNING METHODOLOGY

The course will consist of interactive learning modules, immersive videos, real-world case studies, discussion forum and practical exercises, which will enable participating organizations to gain hands-on experience. The combination of various learning tools makes the experience enjoyable and challenges each participant to go beyond their comfort zones to learn. It will be run on self-learning mode which enables the participants to access the course at their own convenience. 

DURATION

The duration of the course is 30 hours (2 Months) from the date of enrolment and participant’s progress. This course is conceptualized on a self-learning model. It has a free entry and enrolment, and therefore a participant can enroll any time and exit after completion of the course duration.
